Foreign tax credit for state tax filing 千万里2022-02-07 14:44:21

For Federal Tax, it is most advantage to take the tax credit for the taxes paid to foreign country.  

Then for the state tax filing, typically state tax does not allow for such tax credit.  Instead, state tax offers adjustment to the income, so it can deduct the tax paid to the Foreign country.  If you have such situation, it is worth to try it.
