Just now, after my daughter emailed him saying "we don't have binding contract since you did not sign and gave us a copy before we withdraw". He emailed back signed lease with he dates his signature at 星期四 and threatened lawsuits. He said he lost two sets of tenants because of my daughter's group and he potentially suffer a loss of an entire year lease. But my daughter group withdrew it only a few hours after email him the lease. Also he can pick other groups if he want.
I am now support her walk away now since I think the landlord is not nice at all. How much the possibility my daughter group will get in trouble.
also, since he emailed back the signed lease, does that means they don't intend to really find a replacement for now? Thanks!
