Anyone who has the knowledge please help answer my complicated questions:
My employer does not sponsor green card, but a friend's company helped sponsor. We agreed to go work there after 485 is approved. Mow I got EAD based on pending 485.
The current job sucks so I found a new job. My questions are:
1. Can I use the EAD (based on pending 485) to work for the new company?
2. When my 485 is adjudicated, if the green card sponsoring company still can write on letterhead that they will hire me after the approval, will I be fine? How much is the possibility that CIS would ask for such a letter or personal interview?
3. The sponsoring company is seeking for being purchased. If when 485 is adjudicated, they are not able to hire me, but can still put me on payroll for a short time, then I will get two W-2s. Will it be a problem with IRS, CIS or SSA? The reason I ask this question is that I heard from this forum that after 485 approval, you must work for the company for at least one year, otherwise you will have problem when you apply for U.S. citizen. Is this true?
Any other concerns are involved?
To make the story short, I will go to work for a new company from my current company, while another very good-standing company sponsors my green card but this company is looking for being acquired.
