My company registerred on DOL's website for e-filing recently, providing our federal employment ID (FEIN), i.e. tax ID. At the end, it says DOL needs 5 days to verify the existence of the company.
4 Days later, they sent a email to our HR contact saying they need "IRS documentation of assignment of FEIN" to be sent to Atlanta Center. We sent DOL two copies of letters that we received from IRS in July and November 2004 respectively, for tax matter, on which bear our company's name and our FEIN number.
Does anyone's company have same experience and is what we did fine for the verification and account opening?
