My wife is going to change her status from h1->h4, if later she finds a job, can she start to work immediately after the filing of new h1b application? Her current h1 is a quota-ed h1, she is with a company now. The reason I ask this question is that I heard h4 applying for h1 must wait for the approval of h1 in order to start working (looks like it is different from h1->h1 transfer in which a person can start working immediately after the filing of new application.).Can you explain a little on her case?
