自己注册一个公司或者以个人名义做self-employer。业务是1099 independent contractor，前提是另一家公司的beneficiary。Perm一般是W2 instead of 1099.
按照规定contract job不能sponsor green card。但AC21 memo described self-employer可以使485 beneficiary作为self-employer做contractor接上485，这个是专门为laid off H1 holder with 485 pending more than 180 days设计的。
很多人把这个误解为自己开公司雇用自己，但这个是有本质区别的。
本质在于485 beneficiary must do the work that underlying I140 sponsors till green card process is over.
所以找工作的范围其实很广。也可以同时干好几个工作，但不能用H1，因为自己不能sponsor自己H1。
兄弟们别慌。变通的路很多，只要愿意工作就行。
