My wife's fingerprinting failed three times and now we are still waiting for her card. Below is the message forwarded by the congresswoman's office (btw, they are really helpful) and you can see how twisted the story is. So good luck with fingerprinting!

"USCIS electronic records indicate that on X-X-05, our office received the Derivative Employment Based I-485 application referenced above, that on 8-XX-08, our office transferred that application to the XXXX, XX USCIS Office for processing, and that in March of 2009, that application was approved by a USCIS Field Office. USCIS electronic records also indicate that on 4-XX-09, file AXXXX, which contains that application, was received at our office.

To date USCIS electronic records do not reflect that USCIS has issued a Permanent Resident Card to XXX XXX. Please note that our office no longer processes orders for Permanent Resident Cards for I-485 applications that have been approved by a USCIS Field Office. Those orders are now processed by the National Benefits Center (NBC). Therefore, on 5-XX-09, our office forwarded file AXXXX to the NBC so that the NBC can initiate an order for XXX XXX’s Permanent Resident Card. Please allow the NBC up to two weeks from today, 5-XX-09, to receive file AXXXX."
