I cannot find the related answer from the Internet so that I would like if there has someone had the same or similar situation like me. If you the answer, please give me some idea. We have a plan and already booked all the tickets and schedule to back home this May. We also need to go to get a new H1B visa for the 7-9 years extension. But we just got the news that we finally can file the I485 last Friday. I don't know if we can prepare all the documents and sign and let my lawyer to mail out for us even we are not in US. One of my friends said that we need to "exactly" in US when the I485 is mailed and received or we will get trouble when getting a new H1B visa and even Green Card. But my lawyer does not mention it to us? What my friend said is true or not? Please help and thanks a lot!
