I have a weird situation. I am applying the green card for my Mom.
1. We got a Welcome notice on Dec 14.
2. On Dec 15, we got an email update as follows:
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On December 14, 2009, we ordered production of your new card.
3. Then on Dec 17, we got another email update as follows:
Current Status: Approval notice sent.
On December 16, 2009, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS.
Up to today, I didnot receive either the so called "approval notice" or the Card.
Called the uscis and was told if the app is approved at the local office then I have to wait for 60 days. On the welcome notice, it said 3 weeks. on the approval notice email update, it said 30 days. Now it's 60 days! how consistent they are!
Does anyone have the same situation? Is it normal or something is wrong?
