My 6th year H1B expires on 1/26/14. Given that my PERM application is pending, I am planning on going back to China next week and come back to the States in January so that the H1B can be extended to recapture those days. My question is will I have any problem getting the visa stamp at the US Consulate in China, given that I will be going in for the visa interview fairly close to the expiration date? Is it possible for me to be rejected because of the expiration date being close to the interview date?
