Yunshang, Fairy Yunshang (云裳仙子), a poetic name for lily flowers. Because the bulb of the lily is made up of nearly a hundred scales, ancient Chinese regarded the booming of lily flower as a good omen for a hundred years of harmony, and auspicious prospects of everything. They called it 百合. The lilies that smell fragrant are Asiatic Lilies. Lilies are mainly originated in China.
I have learned this from my research on the web, in the West, there are many legends about lilies, and the Bible records that lilies were transformed from Eve's tears. Legend has it that Eve and Adam were tempted by serpents to eat the forbidden fruit and were thus expelled from the Garden of Eden. Eve could not help shedding tears of sadness in her remorse, which turned into white and fragrant lilies when they fell. Therefore, the lily is a pure gift, a gift from God. People often think that lily flower represents purity and freshness.
Lily bulbs are rich in nutrients and have good pharmacological effects. Its white scales can be used for stirfries, with a delicate, sweet flavor. I like 西芹炒百合，莲子百合绿豆汤, etc.
This spring, I cleaned up a small sunny area in my garden where I planted some lilies of various colors. I call it "Lily Valley". Next spring, you will see more varieties of lily flowers blooming ~~

舒蕊浮香未怯霜。
茎叶螺旋传地气，
天真下面有担当。

*云裳，云裳仙子，百合花的素称，因百合的鳞茎是由近百块鳞片抱合而成，
古人视百合花开有百年好合，百事合意的吉兆。百合花在西方有纯洁，清新之意。
今春在园中向阳的地方开了一块地，专种百合花，就称它为“百合谷”吧，
明春会看到更多的品种 ～～
