近两年为父母订了中文电视，也看春晚了。不止春晚，看到了央视春晚惊人的布置，两个舞台，美仑美奂的灯光，立体布景，服装，音响，相比之下，奥斯卡居然开始逊色了. 尤其是各种音乐形式，丰富多采. 最受欢迎的，尤其受年青一代热捧的，当然要数流行音乐. 帅哥美女，各种音质的， 本土的，哈韩的，美式的，快歌，慢歌，动感的，动情的. 还有传统的古典音乐，民族乐，地方戏曲. 说实话，我最喜欢看的是那些有民族文化特色的舞蹈及伴乐，纯厚隽永，象淳酒，那是有时间沉淀下来的，令人心醉。而中国的流行音乐有点象可乐，解渴，不怎么让人回味. 也许我老了！ 刚来美国时听这儿流行乐，惊诧不已！节奏是如此的动感，有时都找不到点，甚至分不清是几拍的. 好多时侯根本就不知道那动听的乐器是什么东西！更不用说歌词了，完全不是象唐诗那样一句一句唱的，有时候是连着的，可是唱出来却是流畅通顺抑扬顿挫的. 那时候是麦当娜，杰克逊，温妮休斯顿，有时既使看着歌词也跟不上调，而且唱也不是那个味儿.

每年的奥斯卡，超级碗中场，葛莱美奖我总是尽量不错过. 虽然小时候也玩过音乐，可是对这儿的流行乐觉得超级先进. 于是恶补去听流行乐队。 前夫会弹钢琴，对此很不屑，觉得我听的是下里巴人的音乐，:( 以前就住Caltech 边上，Caltech 有许多高素养的学生，几乎每周末都开免费音乐会，chamber music, or jazz band. 有了Jackie，从小就带她去听. 记得她有一次听得手舞足蹈的，坐在stroller里跳，边上的老头老太太都在笑她，年青人很少去听. 几年后，而那个caltech的指挥， Mr. Bing 居然认识她，还知道她弹钢琴。奇怪了. 不知道什么时候，Jackie摇头晃唱我不知道的歌，自己坐钢琴上马上就可以把新歌的曲调弹出来，还很客气地对我说 “妈妈，你怎么连这个都不知道.....” 哇噻，我怎么知道啊. 去国内旅行，连年青导游都会跟她一起唱国外刚出来的流行曲 ..... 对国内的年青人，我跪了！ 听说，Taylor swift 的国内演唱会，三天票就售磬了. 又听说，邓紫棋国外演唱会，免费送票都没多少人看. 听说萨顶顶有很多欧美人想跟她合作. Honestly, 对于流行乐，中国市场巨大，但有一点为他人作嫁衣裳之嫌，一不正宗，二少自己的特色. 流行音乐并不是只有美式的，世界各地有很多种的音乐是我喜欢的. 我想中国的年轻人应该也会喜欢吧，多听才好！
