Got notice from USCIS today that my 485 was approved after painfully waiting for NC clearance for more than 2 years.
Filed WOM RPO SE (by myself) at the end of Nov. Talked to the local US Attorney 1.5 weeks later. He was straight forward and knew what I wanted. He said he had handled this kind of cases before and his plan was to make FBI clear my NC. He advised me to call back if I don't hear anything back from CIS by mid-Jan.
1 business day before X'mas, USCIS proactively called my company lawyer, telling her that my name check was cleared. My lawyer believed my 485 would be approved any day soon. (My company lawyer refused to file WOM for me, insisting it's company policy, but she's willing to check the status every month).
This morning, right after the holiday, got email notice from CIS that my 485 was approved. Also got confirmation from my lawyer who contacted CIS for me.
